Registration is now open for the third online seminar in the Tzohar Through 120 English-language series addressing practical and halachic issues surrounding care for the elderly. This latest program will focus on challenges that come with caring for loved ones with dementia.
As we all know, with aging comes loss of memory which can present a wide variety of obstacles, dillemas and questions that will be the focus of this session.
The free online program, to take place on Sunday, October 30th (20:00 Israel Time, 18:00 UK, 13:00 EST) will feature Rabbi Yuval Cherlow, Director of the Tzohar Center for Jewish Ethics and Dr. Shelley Sternberg, Director of the Memory Clinic at Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center and an expert in treatment of elderly patients with dementia. The discussion will allow us to explore the complex sensitivities of treating elderly patients with these conditions through the lens of ethical practice and halacha while always protecting their medical interests.
