The R&D Group manager will contribute to the development of new products, influence the technical direction of the company, and mentor, and manage a team of developers and team leads while contributing to the full life cycle of development. This includes design, architecture, and
collaboration with product stakeholders to deliver high-quality scalable code using agile methodologies.
Responsibilities:
● Lead and mentor a team of developers and Team Leads and/or Tech Leads
● Work with the Product team and the CTO to plan the roadmap delivery
● Optimize Dev resources to increase performance and engagement
● Convey the Company’s vision and the mission to the team beyond the task
● Be responsible for the SLAs
● Define workflows and collaboration between your department and other interfaces
● Define and track Dev KPIs that ensure a clean, maintainable, and testable code as well as delivery within deadlines, together with the CTO.
● Be on top of third party library updates and security updates according to the Update SLA
● Define Code Owners
● Act as a force multiplier for the developers. You enable the people on your team.
● Hands-On management: you should spend a percentage of your time writing code and performing code reviews
● Identify training and growth opportunities for the team and work with the Head of Engineering Growth to develop your team members professionally.
● You are responsible for the HR management of the team: vacations planning and requests, ensuring healthy and timely feedback loops, implementing quarterly hang outs, etc.
